Mr. and Mrs.
Robinson were considering University of Toronto Schools for their
three children.
- "How old
are your children?", asked Ms Jean Brodie, the Principal.
- "You
should be able to work it out", came the reply. "The product of
their ages is 36 and the sum of the ages is the same as the number
in our street address."
- "That is
not enough information", replied Ms Brodie after a pause; "Can
you tell me more?".
- The
oldest looks just like me", said Mrs. Robinson.
- "Well, now,
I can tell their ages", announced Ms. Brodie.
