Dennis Smith Given a Prestigious Appointment

Dennis Smith, a Senior Systems Architect with Cherniak Software, has been given a very prestigious appointment. He has been selected to participate in the VisualWorks Ambassador program, a forum sponsored by ObjectShare, a key player in the Object marketplace (ObjectShare was formerly ParcPlace, a spinoff from Xerox of Xerox PARC, the Xerox Palo Alto Research Center, where the very first graphical user interface was developed).

Dennis was one of the select few "great minds and personalities" chosen from a large number of applicants "of very high calibre". That is a tribute not only to his extremely high level of expertise but also to his highly respected status achieved through his active presence and participation in providing help to others via internet-based newsgroups.

As one of his first acts in his new role, Dennis participated in a two-day workshop in Silicon Valley.
