The Canadian delegation for the 1996 March of the Living numbers nearly 400. We are divided into 3 sub-delegations. We both belong to the Ontario Delegation. There are 138 Marchers in the Ontario delegation from all backgrounds: orthodox, conservative, reform...Jews of all shapes and sizes are represented, and we welcome the diversity.

The Madrichim (staff) also come from varied backgrounds. Young and old, professional or homemaker. Each brings something unique to the mosaic. There are Rabbis available for support and spiritual guidance. The bravest among us, by far, are the three Holocaust survivors that will accompany us on our journey. They will be revisiting the places than were very nearly their tombs - they will be sharing their stories. They will be making the very walls of the camps spring to life.

The Ontario delegation is sponsored by the Toronto Jewish Federation, The UJA, United Israel Appeal and many other agencies and private grants and donations. Dozens of organizations worldwide sponsor the event. Special thanks to Eli Rubenstein (National Director), Barbara Bank and Roz Davidson (Ontario Co-Chairs) for their unfailing commitment to this trip.

As the time of our departure draws near, we would just like to thank all the staff and volunteers, both locally and globally, who have helped make this dream reality for all of us. The quality of the programming, the orientation sessions, and the obvious care and attention to detail are extraordinary and evident to all the youth.
