The flight went surprisingly smoothly. Almost no turbulence and edible food made it seem like the trip was going to be a breeze. Of course we all know that nothing could be further than the truth. We left Pearson in Toronto at just after 11:30 P.M., stopped for an hour to pick up the rest of Canada in Montreal, and were on our way a1/2 hour early!

Jesse: I CHECKED MY GUITAR!!! It reminded me of that Toshiba commercial ( I checked my notebook!). I was a little scared...even though it bore several "fragile" stickers, one does tend to hear horror stories...well...I'm happy to say that I packed the dern' thing, and it's not broken. I forgot to loosen the strings, yet not one of them broke...so there, Mom!!!

Anyways, we landed at Warsaw's airport, and we were soon on our way to the Nozyc Synagague. The Nozyk shul is almost a century old! It was destroyed during WWII. A restoration project was begun in 1975. Since then, it has regained its splendour! This is the last remaining synagogue in Warsaw. Before the war, there were over 1.5 million, now there are less than 5000!

The shul was interesting. Especially singing hatikva. I know it lifted a lot of people's spirits.

Then we took another bus to Ostrowiec. After a three hour drive, we were finally allowed to check in at the hotel Lysica.

It is now 4:13 A.M. Poland time. We must be up in an hour. See you all soon!
