Today was the actual March of the Living. We marched from Auschwitz (the work camp) to Auschwitz II also known as Birkenau ( the death camp). This was known in the time of the shoah as the "death march" because thousands died walking that short distance - and those who didn't were sure to face death within Birkenau.

As we marched, each one of us carried within ourselves 1000 of the souls lost in the Holocaust. Together, we honoured and kept alive the memory of the 6 000 000.

Our March was a vital affirmation of life and Jewish Continuity. Once again, we'd like to let the pictures speak for themselves.
